Socio-Cultural Challenges of Small and Medium-Scale Batik and Tie-Dye Industry in Ghana

This paper investigates the socio-cultural challenges of small-scale batik and tie-dye production retailing industry in Ghana. The research is based on a qualitative approach that employs interviews observation for data collection. In all, sixteen (16) participants were sampled through purposive techniques. Data collected transcribed, classified analysed thematic descriptive analysis. study found family roles contradict business role, pressure from members, poor support society some religious teachings, age, ethnicity lifestyle certain people among others. concludes have led to collapse most sectors leaving thousands Ghanaians jobless. It recommends others producers retailers must separate work responsibilities enable them perform effectively.
